11 October 2013300 supporters celebrate 10 years of Ace

10yrs gala dinner

On October 9th, 2013 Ace Africa hosted a Anniversary Gala Dinner at One Mayfair (London) to celebrate its success over the last 10 years. Our three patrons Andre Villas-Boas, Phil Howard and Liz Earle, members of the Kenyan and Tanzanian teams and our longstanding supporters of Ace Africa joined this memorable event. A champagne reception was followed by a Kenyan dinner created by acclaimed 2 Michelin-starred chef of ‘The Square’, Phil Howard.

During the evening Joe Waddington, co-founder of Ace, gave an encouraging and emotional talk about Ace’s achievements over the past 10 years and its plans for the future. A film about Marvin, whose life has been transformed through Ace Africa was shown. Our live pledge, brilliantly moderated by auctioneer Jeremy Lamond, resulted in Ace raising £30,000 that will help establish 20 new CtC clubs across our programmes and will help over 1,000 vulnerable children. More information can be found here

Both a live and a silent auction were held and the evening raised a record breaking £80,000 in total.
