Following Ace Africa’s original concept of kitchen gardens, we are now adopting what we call a ‘model farm’ approach which addresses aspects of food security, nutrition, farm management technology and soil fertility nourishment at a bigger scale as compared to infamous kitchen gardens. The model farms intends to supply food all year round to families.

Various nutritive crops are integrated and grouped in bulk to enable other community members, not directly trained by Ace Africa, to acquire start-up planting materials to establish their own patch ensuring an improvement in household food and economic security. Their plots have integrated  numerous crops – ranging from bananas, cassava, potatoes, maize, vegetable crops among others – and replication rate (by others not directly trained by Ace) stand at a 60% level.
