Schools
It's never too early to learn about ACE! We have had a tremendous response from young fundraisers supporting ACE Africa, such as 8 year old Edie Elwes and her friends, who took part in a 10km sponsored walk earlier this year, and 12 year old Florence Howard who organised a cake sale and raised £35. A little money goes a long way in Africa, and every penny helps.
We have partnered with several schools to talk to school children here in the UK about ACE Africa, and give them an insight into how ACE is helping orphans and vulnerable children in East Africa, and how our children here can help transform their lives.
Why not suggest ACE Africa to be considered at your child’s school for their ‘Chosen Charity’ programme. We can come and talk to their class or school about the work that ACE is doing in Kenya and Tanzania. We have some child-friendly videos and presentations to help children understand what the issues are and how they can help.
Universities
Becca Gleig, a student at Liverpool University set up an 'ACE Africa Club' for fellow-students at Liverpool University. Becca has organised a fundraising ball and other fun fundraising events, engaging support from other students to help raise funds for ACE.
Please contact us if you are at university and you are interested in setting up an ACE Africa Club. We can provide you with marketing material and help you set it up. It can be a fun and rewarding experience (and will look good on your CV too!).
