22 January 2014The Joanna Waddington Centre opened in Bungoma

IMG_2178Ace Africa are delighted to annonuce the opening of The Joanna Waddington Centre in Bungoma on 17th January 2014.

The new Ace premises were officially opened by our Founding Trustee, Fran Howard, in the company of our Founders Joanna Waddington and Augustine Wasonga in Bungoma. The celebrations involved local leaders, beneficiaries and Ace staff.

This Centre will be a great opportunity to conduct trainings on site, host partners from other sub Saharan Africa for trainings in Ace Africa programmes and a great base for our staff to conduct all our activities under one roof. Within the centre are IT training facilities and a resource centre for research. The new building will reduce costs, as well as give Ace an opportunity to earn an income through hiring out facilities to third parties.

We would like to thank Peter Storrs Trust and I Hennig for their support of the building, as well as the many other donors who made this exciting project possible. We are all looking forward to the next 10 years of Ace from the presence of our new headquarters!
