The 2016 RideLondon marked its fourth edition this year and was attended by over 27,000 riders, including club cyclists, celebrities and amateur riders of all varieties. It is part of a weekend of closed-road cycling events in the capital which began in 2013 as one of the legacies of the London Olympic road race. With leg-testing climbs and a route made famous by the world’s best cyclists it is a truly spectacular event for all involved. After the RideLondon 100 finishes the public were treated to watch 150 professional cyclists, including Britons Chris Froome, battle it out in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic. The race was won by the Belgian sprinter Tom Boonen.
