Chair of Ace Africa Kenya. George is a lawyer and has over 10 years’ extensive experience in the NGO sector, governance and business leadership within the public and private sectors. Ace Africa Kenya are incredibly grateful to George for leading his fellow trustees, below.
Karen Awuor
Treasurer of Ace Africa Kenya. Karen is a senior researcher and a specialist in monitoring and evaluation (M&E) with over 15 years of extensive experience in designing, implementing detailed M&E of health programmes.
Maryida Atieno Aboka
Chair to audit and finance sub-committee. Maryida is a CPAK professional with over 10 years of experience in public finance planning, management and audit. She is also experienced in Forensic Investigation and currently works as a senior Auditor in the office Auditor General in Nairobi, Kenya.
Beatrice Obonyo
Chair to staff welfare and awards subcommittee. Beatrice is a public health specialist with over 15 years of experience in design and implementation of health programmes and research for HIV and AIDS key populations in the Nyanza region.
Eng. Hezekiah Adala
Chair to constitutional and policy sub-committee. Hezakiah is an engineer and businessman based in Mombasa, Kenya. He also sits on the Ace Africa Tanzania Board.
Peter Orengo
Chair to media and communication sub-committee. Peter is a journalist by profession and has over 20 years of experience in communication, marketing and branding.
Dr. Peter Umara
Is a consultant radiologist and director at Jamu Imaging Centre LTD with branches in more than 6 counties in Kenya. He specializes in health business development and management, and strategic planning.
Angeline Wambanda
Public health specialist with over 20 years of experience in design and implementation of health programmes for vulnerable populations including migrant populations as well as monitoring and evaluation.
Geoffrey Kipng’etich
Practicing lawyer with over 25 years of experience in human rights and advocacy programming at the community, county and national level.
Sarah Mango
Is an agriculture and agribusiness specialist with over 18 years’ of experience in the public sector. She currently works with the Department of Agriculture, as their County Agribusiness Officer in Siaya County. Sarah has a particular passion for supporting youth and women in agribusiness. She is also highly skilled in sector policy development and programme impact assessment.
Mary Kilobi
Is a journalist by profession and works with Kenya Television Network (KTN), a Kenyan television network with national coverage. She has over 20 years’ experience in communication, marketing and branding and has previously produced a feature on Ace Africa’s work on KTN.
Godfrey Owori
Is a teacher by profession with over 25 years of experience in education sector, at a senior management level. He is the currently the Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries & Co-operatives in Kakamega County and sits on four other school boards in Western Kenya. He is passionate about children and young people to enable them to achieve their wellbeing and development.
Jostinah Mwang’ombe (O.G.W)
Jostinah is a juvenile and women justice system specialist. Her experience spans over 15 years, including work alongside the Correctional Services (Kenya Prisons Services). She is currently the Senior Superintendent of prisons, in charge of the Shimo La Tewa Borstal Institution in Mombasa County.
Martin Mutua
A communication and media specialist with over 25 years of experience. Martin currently works as the Head of Media Relations at the Parliament of Kenya. He also has vast experience in HIV and AIDs, Health and nutrition, advocacy and strategic planning.
Beatrice Chepkorir Tonui
Is an agricultural and WASH specialist with over 24 years of experience in the public and private sector as well as adept at policy development and sits on two other boards. She also has experience in improving the economic livelihoods of vulnerable populations with a particular emphasis on empowering women.
Andrew Otieno Owuor
Andrew is a chartered insurance and finance specialist with close to 30 years of experience in the private sector. He is currently the director at General Adjusters Kenya LTD based in Mombasa. A leading company providing Loss Adjusting and Surveying services across Africa. He sits on the boards of St. Bernard Girls High School and Catholic Archdiocese of Mombasa. Andrew also acts as the finance council chairman.
Maureen Buyu
A social development professional with 10 years’ experience in community development intervention design and management of underprivileged, vulnerable, marginalised communities and populations with a particular focus on girls, women, orphans and vulnerable children. She is also a founder of Tujiinue Tusonge Mbele CBO in Muhoroni Sub County, Kisumu, which supports adolescent young girls and women.

Veronica is a senior Manager at LAPFUND with more than 20 years in Management positions.
