On Tuesday 13th May Ace Africa held its annual Quiz Night at Pizza Express. As usual this was a sell-out event with some of our longest standing supporters as well as welcoming some new faces to the Ace family.
It was a great evening, with some gruelling questions from our Quiz Master. Well done to Bud McLintock’s table ‘Does Grey Matter’ for winning the Prosecco for a second consecutive year with a fantastic score of 82!
On the night, Glen Pierce from Eton College joined us and we showed our guests the inspiring film about Ace Africa’s Future Stars Football League. Following this we conducted an amazing raffle and auction with an array of exciting prizes! The room was also filled with photographs taken by our brilliant photographer Patrick Drummond from his most recent trip to Ace’s project sites.
With the support and generosity of our Auction and Raffle prize donors, we are delighted to announce that evening managed to raise a gross amount of £10,360(net income of £8,500 after all costs deducted). These funds really will go a long way in supporting the many deprived children and their communities that we work with in rural Tanzania and Kenya.
We would like to thank all those that attended, donated prizes and took part and made it such a successful event.
