We are delighted that the Ace Africa Society at the University of Liverpool have carried on supporting Ace Africa throughout 2014. Last year the society raised over £600 for our programmes and we can’t thank them enough for their dedicated support over the years.
The society have found many ways to raise awareness and fundraise including a Christmas Fair, abseiling, racing for Ace in the Santa Dash Fun Run and of course the classic cake sale! On top of this the team hosted an event promoting Black History Month.
‘It was so rewarding running the society, I’m so glad we managed to raise money for such a worthy cause.’ Emma Riglar, University of Liverpool
Once again a very big thank you to the Ace Africa Society for not only raising vital funds for our programmes in rural East Africa but also raising our profile among fellow university peers. We very much look forward to keeping you updated with our progress over the years and we hope that the Ace Africa Society at the University of Liverpool will live on!
