16 September 2013Dame Judi’s BBC Radio 4 Appeal to be replayed this Thursday

On Sunday 15th September Dame Judi Dench presented an appeal for Ace Africa on BBC Radio 4. Dame Judi has kindly donated her time and effort in support of our programmes in East Africa, having come to know our work over the last few years.

The appeal will be repeated on again on Thursday 19th September at 3.27pm. Please do make sure you tune in and support Ace Africa. It can also be listened to online here.

The appeal highlights the work of Ace’s Child to Child Clubs with orphans and vulnerable children in rural Kenya and Tanzania. We currently operate these clubs in over 200 schools across 4 project sites.

How you can help
If you haven’t heard it already please do make sure you tune in on Thursday 19th September at 3.27pm. Make sure you tell your friends, family and colleagues about the appeal. You can give online via the Radio 4 website or by calling 0800 404 8144, or you can write a cheque to Ace Africa and send it to freepost BBC Radio 4 Appeal.

As Dame Judi pledges in the appeal;

  • £25 can buy tools for the kitchen garden
  • 60 of these donations would enable Ace to fund a new club
  • £1,500 would support and provide hope for 50 children who have had their lives shattered.
