12 July 2016Ace Africa runners take part in the British 10k London Run 2016

On Sunday 10th July 10 brave individuals donned their trainers and took to the streets of central London to tackle their very first British 10k London Run with the support of friends, family and the Ace Africa Team.

The Vitality British 10k London Run is staged on the world’s greatest road race route through the heart of central London passing many of the capitals truly world class historic landmarks and each year brings together over 10,000 runners and thousands of spectators and supporters.

This year’s race involved 11,292 runners from around the world and the day also saw 3 athletes take part in the wheelchair race. This year’s fastest 10k runner was an individual called Paul Whittaker who completed the run in 00:32:03. The winner of the wheelchair competition was Gary Cooper crossing the finish line in 00:33:35.

Our fastest runner and Ace Africa Champion on the day was Eton College student, Felix Stocker, who completed the run in an incredible 00:50:27. Closely behind followed James Pickard who crossed the finish line in a speedy 00:54:17. Thank you all for providing an amazing effort and keeping spirits high throughout the day, each and every one of your completed the race in an incredible time and you should all feel very proud of this achievement.
